FITS - The Framework For ICT Support in the Education Sector

Hello and welcome to the new home of the FITS framework.

FITS was originally marketed by The FITS Foundation, an organisation that was formed in September 2009. With the move to its new home here the the aims of FITSEd remain the same;

To support those aims we will continue to offer courses but with the move to FITSEd those courses will now be provided online. Over the years many students have asked if the courses were available online but until now that was not possible.

Initially, at least, the courses will not be accredited by an awarding body like the SQA as they were before. Depending on demand, that may be something that is offered in the future.

By implementing the structured methodology that is FITS, schools have been able to save on the cost of their technical support. The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has adopted the Framework for ICT Support for delivering ICT in a total of 100 primary and secondary schools. Since its introduction, FITS has established a reputation for providing useful processes and tools that have improved the delivery of technical support within education.
